On Thursday, I visited Kim’s class and was blown away by their newspaper blackout poems. After a short and brief presentation about similarities in my process as a visual artist, they dove right in and it was quite amazing to hear what they came up within the 20-30 minutes. We also watched the TEDTalk for Austin Kleon who talks about his discovery of this process of collecting the found, altering the text and creating something new. Check it out!
