This is a collection of online art from The Great Depression.Т  I made a Power Point with a few of the pieces, and I am going to use them as practice with “extended looking.”Т  They will also be a usefulТ  introduction to The Great Depression’s issues and themes.Т  In addition, I found some background information onТ  Thomas Hart Benton (the artist pictured in the work seen here). Ken Burns did a documentary about him through PBS, and they have lesson plans posted on the site as well.Т  I thought Kim especially might likeТ  the ideas for exploring social activism through the arts.
